This first link has an overlay of Office 2003 (looks very similar to 2000 and XP too) that shows you how it works in Office 2007.  For example, if you go to file, then web page preview and click on that, it will then show you exactly how to get to that place in Office 2007.  From this page you can view this online or download it, should you have slow access from home.

The  link has various courses that you can take to show you how to do specific things.  For example, if you click on Word it will give you various options, such as how to create documents with borders, backgrounds and text effects.

Open the page and then click, Start The Guide.

TIP: Click on Word 2007 and then get the list of 19 tutorials. The first one is probably best for those that are already quite familiar with Word. It is called, "Up to Speed with Word 2007."  You may want to look at another one called, "Decorate Documents with Backgrounds, Borders, and Text Effects."

For beginners you may want to look at a series of three tutorials:
"Get to Know Word 2007: Create your first Document"

"Get to Know Word 2007 II: Edit Text and Revise Your Document"

"Get to Know Word 2007 III "Make Documents Look Great"
(this covers different things than the one above about decorating documents. Beginners may want to look at this one first and then the one above.
